Text - The German Baker's Temper Tantrums My fist terrible boss was the German baker who owned a neighborhood bakery where I worked after high school. He would lose his temper and start screaming the top of his lungs
  • 03
Text - During his angry tirades he would throw food, pots and pans and berate all the employees at the same time. The German baker was eventually followed, after a string of good bosses, by Bill, my boss the first full time job I snagged after getting my Bachelors degree from the University of Missouri I was working on my Masters at night while working full time. Bill hired me to be a systems analyst on a large government contract

Text - Double Dipping In short order Bill started locking himself in his office every day from 8 am until 6 pm. He would call me several times a day on the interoffice phone and give me a long list of tasks to complete. I quickly figured out he was working full time for another company out of Washington D.C while also working the same number of hours for the government office where I was an analyst.

Text - Something had to give. There was no way he could work two full job at 45+ hours a piece In order to double dip two jobs at the same time and not get caught, he would harasses me along with all of my other team members to do his job as a manager. I rarely saw him, but he would bark orders via his office phone all day long.

Text - A Torrid Affair With Hot Blonde Secretary I also discovered my boss was having a torrid affair with his 18 year old hot blonde secretary who eventually pressured him to leave his wife and 3 young sons. After Bill I had a boss at a software company named Dan. He was always nice to me, but he had other issues.

Text - My Worst Boss Of All Time After I moved to Dallas my first boss at a software engineering recruiting firm was John. John was by far the worst boss I ever had. Every day, by 10 am he was either completely intoxicated, coked up or both
  • 08
Text - Constantly Intoxicated Initially I did software support and then technical sales. It was a shock the first time Dan showed up at a prospective customer's site completely intoxicated. He could barely stand up. I rarely saw him sober, regardless of the time of day every time we were in the same proximity.

Text - Stealing My Credit Cards From My Locked Desk On one occasion he broke the lock on my desk, riffled through my handbag and took my credit card without permission. He then proceeded to buy plane tickets and lodging for himself along with his girlfriend for a long Cancun weekend. Initially I didn't even know he had taken my credit card until the astronomical bill arrived. When I called the airlines I was shocked to discover my boss John had used my card for his tickets without my knowledge o

Text - shocked Also on my credit card? Wine and flowers for his girlfriend When I confronted him, he lied and said I had given him permission to use my card (that would never have happened) and he would pay me back (he never did)

Text - Filing A Police Report Against My Boss called the credit card company and reported him for fraud. They advised me to call the police. The Dallas police came to our office to investigate and I signed a complaint against him Sadly, he had also broken into other desks during lunch hour and stolen cash, credit cards and even prescription drugs from other team members

Text - Retrieving Him From The Men's Restroom More times than I could count, I had to go into the men's room where he was often passed out in a stall, to get him to sign off on a pending contract or deal Several times he tried to change the paperwork to give himself full credit for deals which I had made without his awareness or assistance He was desperate to meet his quotas, so he would steal deals for all the people who worked for him and had their own sales quotas to meet.

Text - My Worst Boss Was Eventually Jailed For Fraud When the team discovered his sabotage, we documented everything he was doing and turned him into the head office. He was promptly fired.

Text - Eventually he went to jail for all the cash and credit card theft. Quitting On The Spot My late husband was so freaked out by all the heinous actions John had perpetuated, he unexpectedly showed up at my office one day with empty boxes. He insisted I quit right on the spot. My husband helped me pack up my desk. Since my time with John, who was definitely the worst boss I ever had, I've never had a boss come even close to the unethical, dishonest and criminal behavior I experienced with Jo
